A year after launching their food truck, this mother-daughter-owned business has opened a storefront! Expect the same delicious açaí bowls, plus all-new smoothies and refreshers.

Good to Know: You can still catch their food truck around Clemmons and Winston-Salem.

The Green Bean Coffee Shop

Located in the former home of Local Roots, The Green Bean’s cozy interior is filled with greenery and has plenty of seating for casual hangouts or remote work days.

Miam Breakfast House

Blue Skies Creamery

Blue Skies Creamery started as a food truck in 2023 and now has a brick-and-mortar location! The shop’s expanded menu includes milkshakes, craft soda floats, and homemade waffle bowls.

Inside Scoop: Co-owners Alan and Bret also plan to open a family- and kid-centric space next door within the year.

The Jugo Bar

Formerly known as Radar Brewing, Southern Drift pairs its new name and penguin mascot with the same great beer and community that made this spot a local favorite. Matt and Amber Armbruster took over last July from co-owners Aaron Wall and Erick Peck, who launched Radar Brewing back in 2020.

Twins Vintage

Best friends Xiomara and Abby opened Twins Vintage earlier this year and quickly outgrew their original space. Stop in for curated vintage clothing, thrift finds, furniture, and home decor.

Sandbox VR

OPENING | August 7, 2026
ADDRESS | 201 W. 4th St, Winston-Salem

Located in the former downtown CVS, Sandbox VR will use headsets, motion-capture cameras, full-body trackers, and haptic suits for immersive virtual reality experiences!

Why It Matters: This will be the first Sandbox VR in North Carolina. The franchise owner’s hope is that the prime location and high-tech entertainment will bring more foot traffic to downtown Winston-Salem.
