WHERE TO EAT

 

The Porch Cantina

The Porch is one of the greatest Tex-Mex restaurants ever. With a wide variety of dishes and amazing drinks to suit everyone, The Porch brings a fresh, unique, and fun take on food!

Pro Tip: On the weekend enjoy brunch and mimosa towers!

Bonus: Their outdoor area is dog-friendly!

West End Poke

West End Poke is a cute little shop to grab custom and pre-designed poke bowls. The environment is always welcoming and the food will make you want to come back at least once a day!

Pro Tip: Grab your food to go and enjoy a drink right next door at Joymongers!

Old Fourth Filling Station

Old Fourth Filling Station is a perfect date night and lunch spot. The food is so classy and perfectly delicious, and the atmosphere is so enjoyable and relaxing.

Mozelle’s

Mozelle’s Bistro is a perfect place to sit down for a classy meal with a glass of wine. With both inside and outside seating, Mozelle’s is in a prime location for an amazing experience.

Café Gelato

Café Gelato cannot be beaten! With its changing flavors, cute patio seating, and awesome owner, Café Gelato is such a terrific spot to dig into some delicious homemade gelato.

Hops Burger Bar is known far and wide for its massive, but delicious burgers and sides. Hops is always a good time for burgers, drinks, and a great lively atmosphere.

Pro Tip: They have one of the best patios in the area and in the winter it’s heated.

West End Café

West End Café is known for its incredible lunch and dinner. They have daily lunch specials and their menu is constantly rotating for each season. They also have a selection of delicious coffees and drinks. Brewed in-house, and made with love, the coffee at West End Café is worthy of an entire morning.

Yours Truly

Yours Truly is an amazing upscale consignment shop. From brands like Coach, Prada, WhiteHouseBlackMarket, and so many others, Yours Truly’s inventory is constantly changing. With furniture downstairs, and clothes and accessories upstairs, you could easily spend some serious time at Yours Truly.

Camel City Goods

Camel City Goods is a very specific shop full of all things Winston-Salem. From clothes to home décor to car accessories, Camel City Goods has any and everything you could want.

Elizabeth’s at Hanes Park

Elizabeth’s is such a fun place to shop for truly unique home décor. Elizabeth’s has both DIY furniture and décor, plants, and other artists’ products. You could easily spend an entire day browsing at Elizabeth’s.

Poppyseed Provisions

Poppyseed Provisions is a general store that provides grab n’ go foods, whose motto is “sit and sip,” and they have locally sourced products to give you a real local business feel.

Pro Tip: Bring the kids to play outside on their lawn while enjoying a drink with friends. You can also bring your pup!

Fiddle and Fig

Fiddle and Fig is known throughout Winston for its absolutely adorable and seasonal home décor. Classy, well-priced, and unique is what you will find through-and-through at Fiddle and Fig.

WHERE TO GET COFFEE

 

Lavender and Honey

The name alone makes you want to go sit for hours and sip on a hot cup of coffee. With cakes, pastries, unique lattes, and other coffee drinks, Lavender and Honey is an incredibly aesthetically pleasing woman-owned place to sit and sip.

Order this: Cinnamon Rolls – they are to die for

Pro Tip: If you head there Saturday morning, be prepared to wait in a line wrapped around the building. It’s worth it though – so get there early.


WHERE TO DRINK

Joymongers Barrel Hall

Joymongers is such a pleasing environment to grab a drink and relax with friends. With a massive building and tons of seating inside and out, to over 17 beers on tap (some you can only get in Winston-Salem), Joymongers is the place to be!

 

Hoots Beer Co.

Both a fun drinks spot and an awesome lounge, Hoots Beer Co. is such a unique place to visit for a few drinks. If you get hungry, grab some food next door at The Porch!

The Tap

Right on the corner in West End, The Tap is a great spot for drinks and for watching the sunset from their porch. The Tap is for sure a hidden gem!

West End Opera House

West End Opera House is tucked away in West End, but it is not to be missed. A tiny vintage bar that packs a powerful punch and good time, Opera House is the place to be on a weekend!

Bar NOLA

Bar NOLA opened in early October 2021. They are a New Orlean’s themed bar featuring speciality cocktails, wine and beer, games, darts, and live music on the weekends.

Events: Enjoy Bingo on Tuesdays at 7:30 PM and Trivia on Wednesdays at 7:30 PM

Pro Tip: This is a great spot for a first date as you can play darts, games, and pool.
