Christy is originally from Northern Virginia but fell in love with North Carolina as a student at UNC-Chapel Hill. She enjoys taking walks with her dog, cheering on the Tar Heels with her husband, and being goofy with her son.
Jacob Gauthier
Staff Writer | Jacob is a newcomer to Winston-Salem who is eager to learn about everything the city has to offer! He enjoys spending time with his new friends, taking in the beauty of nature, and writing about fantastical worlds.
Amanda Motsinger
Social Media Team | Amanda is a Triad native who spent the last 20 years adventuring all over the Southeast before finding her way back home. She’s a wife, mom of two, and loves soaking up all the little adventures this area has to offer. She’s also a big fan of relaxing days at home, art classes with her daughter, good books, and growing in her faith.

Social Media Team | AK is a photographer, graphic designer, author, and big time coffee lover.
She’s a graduate of Anderson University where she studied Digital Media before going on to pursue her Masters at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. She lives in the heart of Winston-Salem with her husband. The two of them both absolutely love their city, and all it has to offer!

Content Gatherer | Stephen is new to Winston-Salem, originally from Edmonton, Canada. Early in life he pursued a professional soccer career that immersed him in diverse cultures around the world. Post-career, he embraced adventure, traveling extensively on a shoestring budget. From walking across Central America to sailing through the Panama Canal and residing in an island cave for 7 months, his thirst for exploration knows no bounds. Now settled in Winston-Salem with his wife and two dogs, he fulfills his need for adventure locally.
