Winter Wonderlights

Now in its 5th year, the Greensboro Science Center’s annual light show features imaginative displays like Starry Night, Snowball Surprise, the Forest of Light, and more!

Tanglewood Festival of Lights

WHERE | 4061 Clemmons Rd, Clemmons
WHEN | November 14 – January 1

With over a million twinkling lights illuminating Tanglewood Park, visitors can drive along the route and marvel at the 80+ Christmas light displays. We highly recommend going on a weekday to avoid long lines!

Christmas Festival at Mclaurin Farms

WHERE | 5601 N Church St, Greensboro
WHEN | December 11-23

Take a hayride through the Christmas displays and visit Santa and the Grinch at Mclaurin Farms. You can also add on photo sessions with Santa and/or the Grinch and book a private train ride!

Bonus: If you love your time at Mclaurin Farms, come back throughout the year for seasonal events like Spring Fling and Woods of Terror.

Kersey Valley Christmas Experience

Explore Santa’s workshop, capture memories at themed photo ops, and let the kids loose on rides like the Super Mega Ride-n-Slide and Kiddie Zip Lines at Kersey Valley. Did we mention the light displays feature over 2 million lights?

Armstrong Artisan Farm

WHERE | 1499 Brook Cove Rd, Walnut Cove
WHEN | November 21 – December 31

The Christmas Light Spectacular at Armstrong Artisan Farm features a hayride through lights synchronized with Christmas music! Visitors also have the opportunity to meet Santa, capture memories at festive photo ops, and enjoy hot cocoa.

Bonus: Pick up fresh-cut Christmas trees and wreaths while you’re at the farm!

Sunset Hills Christmas Balls

WHERE | Sunset Hills neighborhood, Greensboro
WHEN | Lights go up around Thanksgiving and remain lit through the holiday season

Every year, the residents of Greensboro’s Sunset Hills neighborhood adorn their trees with Christmas balls, creating a magical spectacle! There is no admission fee, but visitors are encouraged to bring non-perishable/canned food to place in neighborhood donation stations.

Bonus: Run under the canopy of lights in the Running of the Balls 5K on December 13! All proceeds benefit Second Harvest Food Bank.
