Thursday, May 28

  • Glass Blowing – Learn the art of glass blowing and create one-of-a-kind ornaments at Hammer & Stain. 7:15 PM
  • Winston Under 40 – Meet fellow young professionals over drinks at Foothills Tasting Room. Stick around afterward for music bingo! 5-6:30 PM
  • Collage & Comedy – Cut, paste, laugh. Create collages and watch a comedy show at Culture WS! Free to attend. 6-10 PM
  • Night at the Farm – Live music by Martha Bassett and Colin Allured, dinner from Native Root, and yard games — all at Mossy Hill Farm. 5:30-8:30 PM
  • Women’s Business Brunch – Grab a plate and make a connection. The S.H.E. Connection is hosting a buffet brunch and interactive activities for local businesswomen at Coffee Park Airstream! 10 AM

 

Friday, May 29

  • Park Hangs – Tre. Charles takes the stage at Bailey Park for NCMA’s reimagined House Hangs series. 5-8 PM
  • Senior Prom – No, we’re not talking about high school seniors. Active older adults are invited to hit the dance floor at Robinhood Road Family YMCA! Free to attend; registration encouraged. 7 PM
  • Dinner & Show – Enjoy a delicious farm-to-table dinner and a comedy act at Willow Ridge Farmstead. Dinner at 5 PM, show at 8 PM.
  • Movie Night – Take the kids to see “Coco” at Davie County Community Park! Movie starts at sunset.
  • R&B and Poetry – Spoken word, hip hop, and R&B come together for a soulful night at Bar Nola. 8 PM
  • Dueling Pianos – Uptown Dueling Pianos brings their all-request show to Gypsy Road Brewing! 7 PM
  • Irish Dance – Experience the story of the Irish pirate queen in the Carroll Academy’s annual show! Additional performances on Saturday.
  • Comfy Club – Bring your work in project to this low-key craft hangout hosted by Mac & Cheese at 500 W 5th. 6 PM

  • Blooming Together – A full day of art classes, workshops, and demos at the Generations Center! Free to attend; just make sure to pre-register. 10 AM – 2 PM
  • Groove Lab – Leave the phone behind. Get fully immersed in Groove Lab’s blackout techno dance party at Bar Nola. 10 PM – 2 AM
  • Soccer – Cheer on our local Salem City Beasts as they play the Charlotte Eagles at Reynolds Stadium. 7 PM

  • Workout For a Cause – Play a round of Softgolf at Tanglewood Park while connecting with working professionals under 40. Proceeds support Jim Shaw ACE Academy. 10 AM
  • Rose Show – Wander through hundreds of award-winning roses, pick out fresh-cut bouquets, and get expert gardening tips at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds. 12-4 PM
  • Explore History – Dive into the details of George Washington’s Southern tour (including his 2-night stay in Salem) at this Old Salem lecture. 1 PM

  • Sipper Club – Try 6 hand-selected red wines at Pleasants Provisions’ first-ever wine tasting event! 3:30 PM
  • Language Mixer – Practice speaking Spanish, French, Italian, or German with the Vecino Center at Fiddlin’ Fish! All skill levels welcome. 6:30 PM
