Located inside Roar, Est! Est!! Est!!! is dishing up some of the most authentic Italian eats in the city. These dishes are not only delicious but very pleasing to the eye. Chef Simone Conosciani, hailing from Rome, Italy, provides a unique take on Caprese, featuring prosciutto and burrata. The Cacio e Pepe is a must-try!

Pro Tip: Try boutique bowling or have a drink on the rooftop bar at Roar, during your trip to Est! Est!! Est!!!

Mission Pizza Napoletana

Mission Pizza boasts much more than its name may suggest! While they specialize in craft pizzas with authentic Italian toppings, they also have a solid selection of pasta – classic, but with a modern spin. Chef Peyton Smith was one of two chefs from Winston-Salem to be named a semi-finalist for a James Beard award! 

Pro Tip: $5 wine by the glass on Wednesdays!

 

A Slice of Napoli

A Slice of Napoli is the go-to spot for hearty Italian eats that won’t break the bank. They have huge portions of Italian dishes like chicken parmesan and daily pasta specials, plus they also have a vast array of delicious pizzas, including the classic New York-styled and deep-dish Sicilian. 

Pro Tip: If you’re feeling exceptionally indulgent, order one of their monster-sized DEEP FRIED calzones!

Quanto Basta

Quanto Basta is one of the more authentic Italian eateries here in Winston-Salem; their menu truly covers all the bases! From meatballs and arancini for starters to all the pasta your heart desires – Bolognese, Chicken Marsala, and don’t forget the Short Ribs Barbaresco with house-made gnocchi!

Pro Tip: They have one of the most extensive wine lists, you’re sure to find something to pair with each of the exquisite pasta dishes!!

 

Francesco’s

Francesco’s is another budget-friendly Italian joint, serving Winston-Salem for over 25 years! They feature a selection sure to fit all your pasta needs (fettuccine alfredo, lasagna, and the best-baked ziti) as well as subs, salads, and pizza. 

Pro Tip: For dessert, be sure to check out their cheesecake selection from Winston-Salem’s own DJ’s Cheesecakes!

Cibo Trattoria

Cibo Trattoria has it all – they feature an array of Italian fare and a full bar set in an intimate, upscale atmosphere. Tons of options like Wagyu meatballs for an antipasto, and just about any pasta entrée you can imagine. The Veal Osso Buco is a home run!

Di Lisio’s owner and Naples, Italy native, Tony Di Lisio, brings an extensive menu with an old-world Italian feel right to downtown Winston. Whether you enjoy your meal outside on the casual patio, or inside for a more upscale feel, the hearty dishes here are sure to satisfy. They even have a build your own pasta menu with all the sauces!

Pro Tip: Try the Mozzarella in Carozza appetizer for an elevated fried mozzarella experience!

BLL Rotisserie Factory

Don’t let the strip mall exterior fool you, BLL Rotisserie Factory will greet you with a warm welcome and some delicious cuisine. Serving Winston-Salem since 1993, this family-owned joint incorporates its flagship house-made rotisserie chicken into many of their Italian pasta dishes.
