Three Strands Recovery Wear’s Story

Wyrick founded Three Strands in 2019 while she was a freshman at Wake Forest University. Her mother’s breast cancer diagnosis and complications with drains and bra discomfort motivated Wyrick to partner with Dr. Samuel Roy to create the Resilience Bra – a post-surgical bra for women with breast cancer.

The Founder of Three Strands Recovery Wear

Wyrick spent her time in college simultaneously working as a full-time college student and a full-time business owner. She recently graduated from the Wake Forest University School of Business and is now dedicating herself full-time to Three Strands Recovery Wear.

Wyrick is also a participant in Winston Starts, a startup accelerator program in Winston-Salem.

Three Strands Recovery Wear Today

Three Strands’ recent successful pilot test of the Resilience Bra opened the door for more pilot tests in North Carolina hospitals and private practices during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The American Cancer Society’s affiliate program, TLC, has also become its first wholesale partner. TLC is set to begin carrying the Resilience Bra in 2024.
