Thursday, October 17

  • Halloween Spooktacular – Children and adults with differing abilities are invited to Kaleideum for a night of trick-or-treating, themed games, and more. 5:30-8:30 PM
  • Opening Reception – View NCMA Winston-Salem’s new exhibitions and meet the artists. 6-8 PM

 

Friday, October 18

  • Movie Screening – Watch the Halloween classic, Hocus Pocus, at Bailey Park! Movie starts at sunset.
  • Rocky Horror Show – Watch the musical based on the 1975 film at Theatre Alliance. Rated R. Runs through October 27.
  • Pink Ladies Rock – Join 690 Women’s Fitness at UR Coliseum for a dance fitness charity event. All proceeds benefit Carolina Cancer Services. 7 PM
  • Comedy Tour – Jo Koy performs at LJVM Coliseum! 8 PM
  • Art Crush – Head to the Arts District for a block party with live performances, art galleries, local vendors, and artists. 7-10 PM
  • Movie in the Park – Watch Halloweentown at Harmon Park! 5:30-9 PM
  • Musical – The Little Theatre of Winston-Salem presents Little Shop of Horrors, a horror comedy about a florist raising a plant that feeds on human flesh. Runs through November 3.

 

Saturday, October 19

  • Fall Mental Health Fair – Old Vineyard Behavioral Health Services brings resource booths, live entertainment, Zumba, guest speakers, and more to Bailey Park. 10 AM – 2 PM
  • Ardmore RAH! – Run or walk in a 10K, 5K, or 1-Mile Fun Run at Redeemer Presbyterian Church to support Second Harvest Food Bank. First race starts at 8 AM.
  • EV Test Drive – Curious about electric vehicles? Test drive one (or several) at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds! 11 AM – 4 PM
  • Halloween Party – Head to Little Brother Kernersville for a costume contest, prizes, and food! 6-10 PM
  • DIY Workshop – Create a pumpkin bouquet, craft your own soap, and enjoy a mini photoshoot at Lizzie’s All-natural Products. 1-3 PM
  • Chai Workshop – Learn about the history of chai and make your own unique blend with the Vecino Center at Chad’s Chai! 10 AM
  • Fall Parade of Homes – Take a self-guided tour of beautiful homes in Forsyth and Stokes counties! Tours are also available on Sunday.
  • Treat Trail – Bring your kids to Bolton Park for a trick-or-treating experience. They’ll also receive a free tote and art kit! 4:30-6:30 PM
  • Donation Drive-Thru – Drop off supplies at Reynolda Village for Second Harvest Food Bank to distribute to those in need in Western North Carolina. 9 AM – 3 PM
  • Musical – Theatre Alliance presents Six Women With Brain Death, a satirical show. Rated R. Runs through October 27.
  • Latin Dance – Head to the Rosenbacher House for a bachata class, followed by a dance social. Wear your Halloween costume! 9 PM – 1 AM
  • Group Walk – Celebrate Great Trails State Day by walking a 2-mile, paved greenway trail at The Quarry at Grant Park. 10 AM
  • Shalloween Festival – A magical event for kids ages 0-12, featuring a costume contest, arts and crafts stations, and games. 1-2:30 PM

 

Sunday, October 20

  • Outdoor Concert – Listen to music from West End Mambo at Triad Park. Bring your pups along! 2-5 PM
  • Walk for Apraxia – Walk at Ciener Botanical Garden to support Apraxia Kids and the resources it provides for families with children with apraxia. 2:30 PM
  • All Mounds Matter 5K – Run or walk at this 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run event at Savage Coffee Roasters. Proceeds benefit Cancer Services. 9 AM
  • Cookie Class – Join a classically trained pastry chef at Southern Home & Kitchen to learn cookie-making techniques. 1 PM
  • Camel City Craft Fair – Find unique, handmade items at Foothills Tasting Room’s annual fall market. 12-5 PM
  • Kids Halloween Painting – Bring your little ones to Kiddin’ Around Drop-In Childcare to paint a Halloween-themed painting. 2 PM
  • Crop Hunger Walk – Fight against hunger by walking at Corpening Plaza and raising funds for local and national non-profits. 2:30 PM
  • Pumpkin Carving – Buie’s Market’s annual event is back, along with a bounce house and wine tent sale. 12-3 PM
