New Year’s Eve Events in Winston-Salem and the Surrounding Areas

It’s hard to believe, but 2024 is just around the corner! There are plenty of parties and events celebrating the start of the new year in Winston-Salem, Greensboro, and High Point. Stay safe, and have a Happy New Year!

Winston-Salem Events

Family-Friendly

Kaleideum

11 AM – 5 PM , $10

Bring your kids to the Farewell Bash at Kaleideum! There will be crafts, dancing, a laser show, and a balloon drop at noon. This will be the last event at the museum’s current location.

Running of the Lights

12 AM – 5 PM , $44

Hit the new year running…literally. Run through the Tanglewood Festival of lights at this 5k!

City of Winston-Salem

11 AM – 1 PM, free, December 30

Celebrate the new year while it’s still light outside at Salem Lake Marina! There will be food, music, dancing, and crafts.

Ticketed/Cover Charge Events

Breathe Cocktail Lounge

9 PM – 2 AM, $35

Bring your friends and celebrate the New Year with games, door prizes, a live DJ, and a breakfast buffet.

The Shaffner Inn

8:30 PM – 1 AM, $50 for individuals, $95 for couples

Kick off the New Year with The Shaffner Inn’s ’80s-themed party, complete with appetizers, cigars, a live DJ, and a photo booth.

Dram & Draught

9 PM – 12 AM, $65 for designated driver tickets, $125 for standard tickets

Enjoy champagne and disco at Dram & Draught’s New Year’s celebration. The event features an open bar (applies to a prix fixe menu), food spread, and music.

Millenium Center

9 PM – ~12 AM, $35 for individual tickets, $45 for reserved table tickets

Dance to music from the past 25 years played by live DJs at the Millennium Center. Enjoy a complimentary breakfast after watching the Times Square Ball Drop!

Village Inn Event Center

8 PM – 1 AM, $45

Start the New Year with Village Inn Event Center! Listen to music from Kids in America (’80s tribute band), 10 Spot, and three live DJs. The party will also feature multiple photo ops and a Michael Jackson impersonator.

Euphoria

10 PM – 2:30 AM, $15

Dance the night away with bears from renowned DJ E!

Real World Ballroom

8 PM, December 29, $20

The party starts a few days early with Real World Ballroom’s New Year’s Eve Eve Eve Party. Enjoy dance lessons, party favors, and a cash bar!

Eastern Standard

8:30 PM, $10 cover charge

The last hoorah at Eastern Standard before they close. Celebrate new beginnings for all with a champagne toast, light bites, and a DJ.

6-8 PM, free admission; after 8 PM, $20
