To Your Health Bakery

To Your, Heath Bakery is a local bakery specializing in gourmet gluten-free, keto, allergy-free, and vegan baked goods. Their cinnamon rolls and donuts are such a treat. They have “savory” food items available for breakfast/lunch in addition to a large variety of frozen and fresh baked goods. This is a great option for a gluten-free cake/dessert to bring to an event. They have an excellent website and social media page that shows the local dessert options for each day.

Camino Bakery

There are three Camino Bakery locations in Winston-Salem- downtown, Brookstown, and Baptist Hospital. They have excellent coffee, a cute vibe for studying/meeting friends, and a lot of GF options! Year-round they offer a gluten-free/vegan sugar cookie, gluten-free/vegan PB cookie, gluten-free/vegan brownie, and some savory food options. Camino has seasonal menus and typically offers a gluten-free seasonal scone and almond horn! So far this year they have offered cranberry/orange scones, strawberry/lemon scones, and the current fall seasonal scone, apple oat.

Baked Just SO

Baked Just SO has amazing gluten-free cinnamon rolls. Literally, every single gluten-free baked good here is truly amazing. 100% recommended for anyone gluten-free that’s ISO GF pastries, scones, cinnamon buns, etc. They have excellent coffee and it’s a great spot to meet friends/work/study. They now have two locations – one in Winston off of Robinhood Rd. and one in Lewisville.

Clearly labeled and extensive gluten-free menu with a knowledgeable staff and one of the easiest Winston spots to safely eat gluten-free. HakkaChow is a great date night spot, but they also do excellent take-out. The chef and servers are knowledgeable about what items are safe to consume.

Cha Da Thai

Extensive gluten-free menu and knowledgeable staff about safe options. P.s. They offer excellent take-out options if you have no dinner plans.

Honky Tonk Smokehouse

Friendly and helpful staff. Clearly labeled gluten-free menu and a great option to have wings out! Great carryout or dine-in option.

Hops Burger Bar

Gluten-free bun and drink options. They even often have a gluten-free cheesecake from Cheesecake by Alex! Their staff is also knowledgeable about which sides are gluten-free. It’s a great spot in West End for outdoor dining or take-out when you are short on time.

Cin Cin Burger Bar

Gluten-free buns are available for sandwiches/burgers. Knowledgeable staff about gluten-free sides. They also have alcoholic/non-alcoholic milkshakes which can be made gluten-free as well as a flourless dessert option! Glute-free individuals will feel safe eating here!

River Birch Lodge

This cozy restaurant has a gluten-free fryer. You can request your fries to be made separately to ensure there is no cross-contamination. Having a dedicated fryer allows for many more menu items to truly be gluten-free. In addition, they offer gluten-free bun options! There is a clearly labeled separate gluten-free menu.

Plant-based restaurant with excellent gluten-free options. The menu is clearly labeled for items with a gluten-free option/alteration available. Try the Caprese or BBQ gluten-free pizza! Dom’s is a very safe gluten-free dining experience, especially for someone with Celiac Disease. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful.

Mojito Latin Soul Food

Clearly labeled GF menu with many options. Downtown location with lovely outdoor dining. Gluten-free options for tacos, bowls, yucca fries, plantain chips, etc. P.s. They have a great mojito cocktail!

The Porch Kitchen & Cantina

Not only does the restaurant have such a fun vibe, but there are so many gluten-free options here – the naked burrito bowl, Santa Clara bowl, or tacos on corn tortillas are all delicious. Try their margaritas and they typically offer cider on tap.

TJ’s Deli

Excellent gluten-free bread for sandwiches that actually holds up well. French fries are fried in a separate fryer! A great spot for dine-in or carry-out.

The Carving Board

One of the best local favorite spots for a weekend sandwich! The staff is knowledgeable about side items and the gluten-free roll is actually a normal size piece of bread– which is very difficult to find in the gluten-free world!

Village Juice

Local healthy restaurant with many gluten-free options. They have grain bowls, smoothie bowls, avocado/nut butter toasts, salads, bars, and sandwiches that can all be made gluten-free. They also have great gluten-free baked goods!

Di Lisio’s Italian

Gluten-free pasta options! Di Lisio’s is an excellent date night spot and voted some of the best Italian food in Forsyth County.

Zito’s Pizzeria

Another local option for gluten-free pizza. The menu is clearly labeled for gluten-free and vegan options and the staff is very helpful for determining which items can be accommodated to be gluten-free.

Young Cardinal Cafe

Young Cardinal is a wonderful downtown spot for both lunch and brunch. There are plenty of “naturally” gluten-free options (i.e. omelet, huevos rancheros, grit bowl) in addition to gluten-free bread for toast and breakfast sandwiches. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful to navigate the menu to determine safe gluten-free options.

Penny Path Cafe & Crepe Shop

Penny Path Cafe is a cute shop located in Reynolda Village. They have gluten-free crepe options and offer a safe gluten-free dining experience.
