Thursday, July 30
- Midnight Poetry Jam – A night of poetry and spoken word from IBTF, hosted by LB the Poet at the Benton Convention Center. Additional performance on Friday.
- Speed Dating – Ditch the apps and meet your matches face-to-face at Whiskey, Taps and Tails Saloon! Ages 28-48. 7 PM
- Author Visit – Pulitzer Prize-winning author Colson Whitehead talks about his new historical fiction novel, “Cool Machine,” presented by Bookmarks. 7 PM
- Man Talk – Young men ages 8-18 get practical advice and encouragement from IBTF’s panel of actors, artists, and community leaders at the Benton Convention Center. 10 AM
- Artist Talk – Hear from several of NCMA WS Downtown’s exhibiting artists about how they use art to share their stories. 6 PM
- Youth Showcase – IBTF’s young performers act, sing, dance, and recite spoken word at the Benton Convention Center. Additional performance on Friday.
Friday, July 31
- Old School Block Party – Groove to classic R&B, jazz, and funk at Corpening Plaza! Additional performance on Saturday.
- Cooking Class – Cook an entire pasta meal from scratch at Taste Buds Kitchen. 6:30 PM
- Concert – Winston-Salem native 9th Wonder performs at The Ramkat! You can see his mural at the corner of 6th and Liberty Street. 8 PM
- Paint & Trivia – Create a Harry Potter-inspired painting and put your trivia knowledge to the test at Wine & Design! 7 PM
Saturday, August 1
- Movie Night – Car enthusiasts, this one’s for you. Head to Truist Stadium for a pre-film car show and settle in to watch “F1: The Movie.” Car show starts at 4 PM, movie starts at 7 PM.
- Cocktail Class – Learn how to make margaritas at Alma! Bonus: Your ticket includes a margarita, chips, and dips. 1 PM
- TeenTastic Carnival – A carnival experience for middle and high schoolers at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds! Free to attend; registration required. 7 PM – midnight
- Pastry Class – Learn to make pâte à choux at Bobby Boy Bakeshop’s Salem Bottleworks location! Sessions at 9 AM and 2 PM.
- Peter and the Wolf – Take the kids to listen to this charming fable brought to life through music and English/Spanish narration at the Generations Center. 10:30 AM
- Yard Pop-Up Sale – Shop for dorm furniture and decor from Campus Reclaimed in LJVM Coliseum’s parking lot. Also available on Sunday and next weekend.
- Tribute Concert – Listen to an Avett Brothers tribute performance at Wise Man Brewing! 8 PM
- Magazine Art – Turn old National Geographic magazines into collage art at The Art SHAC. 10 AM
Sunday, August 2
- Kangaroo Paint Party – Paint a canvas while baby kangaroos hop around you at Wine & Design! Classes at 12 PM and 2:30 PM.
- Tour Pour du Jour – Learn about the Graylyn Estate’s history on this guided tour! Tickets include wine and appetizers. 4 PM
- Farmers Market – Trade Street fills with local vendors selling fresh produce, baked goods, and more. 10 AM – 2 PM
