Relocation

The new space nearly triples the indoor seating capacity from 70 to 200. It also introduces two private dining rooms for 20 and 40 guests. If you’re looking to host an event, check out these other venues in Winston-Salem.

The restaurant will also feature outdoor seating and new menu items in the future, including veal chops, bone-in ribeye, oysters, and plenty of daily specials.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is modern and classy. The impressive bar greets you at the entrance, with the main dining room sitting right behind it. Depending on where you sit, you can even catch a glimpse of the chefs preparing your delicious meal in the semi-open kitchen.

Why Did Cibo Trattoria Move?

Manager Lisa Massey said the kitchen at Cibo Trattoria’s old location was too small for the number of guests they could seat. The relocation has given them a much larger kitchen to go along with the extra seating; the kitchen space is one of the best aspects of the move, according to Massey.

Restaurant owner Freddy Lee will retain ownership of the old space on Trade Street and plans to convert it into a steakhouse. In addition to Cibo Trattoria and the upcoming steakhouse, Lee is the owner of Bernardin’s, Bleu Restaurant and Bar, Cowboy Brazilian Steakhouse, and Oh’ Calcutta.

The Menu

You’ll find plenty of classic Italian dishes at Cibo Trattoria, like fettuccine alfredo, pollo parmegiana, and veal piccata. For dessert, you can try sweet creations like crème brûlée and spumoni, and their drink menu features craft cocktails, draft beers, and an extensive wine list.

The menu is relatively unchanged from their time at Trade Street, so patrons both old and new can enjoy the dishes Cibo is known for. If you’re unsure what to order, some customer favorites include the Wagyu meatballs, grilled salmon, and capellini prosciutto.
