Easy Tiger Beer Garden

ADDRESS | 2108 S Broad St.
OPENING | Saturday, April 12

Easy Tiger is bringing the jungle to Winston-Salem! The owners of Twisted Pine, The Trophy Room, and Jeffrey Adams are making major changes to the space formerly occupied by Southside Beer Garden.

The interior has a new coat of paint, is covered with live plants to match the jungle theme, and features new booth seating. Outside, the picnic tables have been replaced with new seating, fire pits, and even more plants.

Easy Tiger’s beverage options include cocktails and non-alcoholic wines, beers, mocktails, and kombucha. Patrons can even create their own spritzes using fresh ingredients.

For food, Easy Tiger plans to have food trucks and will even provide menus for patrons to place call-in orders from its neighbors, Slappy’s Chicken and Acadia Foods.

The grand opening takes place on April 12 with Flatland Burgers providing food.

Fun Fact: The patio wall has the “E” and “T” from the Winston Tower!

The Rosemary Room

ADDRESS | 1001 Burke St.
OPENING | Sunday, April 14

The Rosemary Room is a new speakeasy connected to Vintage Sofa Bar by a hidden door. The 1920s-themed bar will serve classic cocktails and small bites prepared by Vintage Sofa Bar.

The speakeasy will open on Sunday, April 14 with a drag brunch event in partnership with PRIDE Winston-Salem.

Bonus: Expect live jazz and opera music events in the future!

West End Opera House

ADDRESS | 853 Reynolda Rd
OPENING | Already open

This Winston-Salem staple has been in business since 1980. Ownership of the establishment recently changed when the previous owner retired and Tony (of Vintage Sofa Bar, Bamboo Lounge, and Whiskey Dawgs) took over the bar.

Owner Tony updated the space, including installing new hardwood floors + equipment and introducing a new food menu similar to Vintage Sofa Bar’s. The bar also added some of West End Opera House’s original cocktails from the ‘80s (with a twist!) to its drink menu.

Despite these updates, owner Tony said that much of what has made West End Opera House iconic (including its dart boards) will not change.

Winston-Salem is home to many other great bars – check them out in our bar guide!
