How To Help With Relief Efforts in Western North Carolina

At the end of September, Hurricane Helene caused devastating flash floods in Western North Carolina. We’ve compiled a list of ways to provide financial support to those impacted in the region, as well as several local businesses in Winston-Salem collecting donations.

This list is not comprehensive.

Financial Donations

 

Mail Donations via Amazon

  • REVOL Church (Asheville Dream Center’s Base – 399 Beaverdam Rd, Asheville, NC 28804) – accepting supplies & passing out supplies at REVOL Church. They are also delivering to communities in need. Link to wishlists.
  • The Venue (21 N Market St, Asheville 28801) –  a drop-off location for supplies in downtown Asheville with 13,000 sqft of space & teams in place delivering supplies to people who need them! Please make a note to request delivery between 9 AM – 7 PM when their team will be there to receive it. Link to wishlists.

  • Wise Man Brewing
  • Forsyth Humane Society | Needs emergency foster homes & accepting donations. Drop off (Monday-Saturday from 10 am-1 pm and 2 pm-6 pm) or purchase something off their Amazon wishlist
  • Howlin’ At The Moon Bakery | Receive 10% off your next purchase when you drop off items
  • Big Winston Warehouse | All businesses in the Big Winston Warehouse (Fiddlin’ Fish, Broad Branch Distillery, and Celestial Wellness) are accepting food donations for FEMA
  • Primm’s | Collecting pet supplies and a portion of proceeds support the Asheville Humane Society
  • United Way | Donations will be accepted through Thursday, October 31 at 301 N. Main Street (Winston Tower/Truliant Center) in downtown Winston-Salem. The drop-off hours are Monday through Thursday between noon and 5 p.m.
