What is Yogammunity?
Yogammunity, founded by Deanna Dzybon in 2015, offers weekly yoga and mobility classes. Classes meet at Radar Brewing on Wednesdays at 7 PM and Foothills Tasting Room on Saturdays at 11 AM—indoors or outdoors depending on the weather.
- Participating: $12/class with a drink included (non-alcoholic available). Bring a mat, water, and an open mind—no pre-registration, just pay at the bar!
- Also: Deanna occasionally hosts pop-up yoga events around town. Stay up to date by following Yogammunity’s social page!
The Background
Deanna created Yogammunity to make yoga more accessible and appealing.
- “[Yoga studios] can be very intimidating, especially if you don’t know what you’re doing,” Deanna said.
In 2015, she pitched the idea for Yogammunity to Eric Peck, the manager of Foothills Tasting Room at the time. He agreed to host the event, and Yogammunity grew from 10 attendees at the first class to 60 attendees within six months!
What to Expect
Deanna ensures that each class is welcoming for all skill levels, whether you’re a beginner or a regular attendee. Within recent years, she has also begun incorporating mobility work into each class, which helps to increase the joints’ range of motion.
- “Mobility work is so important,” she said. “There’s not one activity—including yoga—that uses our joints in the full range of motion. So, I’ve started adding [mobility] into my classes.”
Each class is completely different, and Deanna even incorporates students’ requests into the workout’s flow.
The Impact
Yogammunity is more than just a place for people to practice yoga—it’s a space for people to connect and make new friends. Longtime attendee Anna G. began attending almost nine years ago to improve her strength and mobility and ended up finding a community.
- “The community that has formed through the class has become a strong support in my life,” she said.
And the impact isn’t limited to the students. Deanna shared that having to pause during the pandemic made her appreciate just how important Yogammunity is to her.
- “[Yogammunity] is a really huge piece of my life as well, not just as a teacher, but as a community.”
Celebrating Ten Years
Experience the community for yourself at the tenth anniversary party on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Foothills Tasting Room. There will be yoga classes for adults and kids, food trucks, and a puppet show!
