Thursday, January 16

  • Craft & Sip – Make winter-themed crafts at Maddie Cakes Bakery while enjoying wine, coffee, and/or dessert! 5-7 PM
  • Open Bike Night – Learn about bicycles and bring your questions to this BeersNGears event at 3407 Luther Street. 7-8:30 PM
  • Cooking Class – Learn to make southern-style cornbread and shepherd’s pie in a cast iron skillet at Southern Home & Kitchen. 6 PM
  • MLK Celebration – Join Forsyth Tech at the Robert L. Strickland Center for a keynote address from Dr. Keith Vereen. 2 PM
  • Book Club – Discuss “Headshot” by Rita Bullwinkel at NCMA Winston-Salem with the Museum’s director! You do not need to have finished the book to participate. 6 PM
  • Evening in the Atrium – Enjoy light bites from The Downtown Grille and live music by Tiffany Thompson and Michael Anderson in the Atrium at 500 W 5th! 5:30-7 PM

 

Friday, January 17

  • Stage Show – The Little Theatre of Winston-Salem presents “What They Have,” which follows two couples living in Hollywood. Show run through Sunday.
  • Business Before Hours – Join Leadership Winston-Salem at Lot 63 to mingle with fellow community leaders. 7-9 AM

 

Saturday, January 18

  • Winter Wonderland – Bring the whole family to Childress Vineyards for live music, samples, and a meet and greet with the “Frost Sisters”! 10 AM – 7 PM
  • A Cappella Jam – Listen to RJ Reynolds A Capella and college groups perform at Reynolds Auditorium! 7 PM
  • Robert Hall Open House – Find vendors for your wedding day at Robert Hall! 3-6 PM
  • Stage Show – Camel City Playhouse presents “Beyond Therapy,” a comedy in which Prudence and Bruce look for love with the help of their therapists. Show runs through January 26.
  • Basketball – Cheer on the Rams as they take on Claflin at the C.E. Gaines Center. The game theme is Throwback Day, so wear your throwback WSSU gear and colors! Women at 2 PM, men at 4 PM.
  • Welding ClassThis one’s for your teen. Learn the basics of welding and its creative applications at Mixxer. Open to students grades 9th-12th. 9 AM
  • Wedding Open House –  Tour Winston-Salem’s newest wedding venue, The Crest, and meet vendors! 1-4 PM
  • Arts Yard Sale – Shop for gently used art and craft supplies at South Fork Community Center. Bring your own items to sell, too! 12-3 PM
  • Painting Workshop – Learn to paint using one color’s tints, shades, and tones at the Generations Center. Supplies provided. 10 AM – 4 PM
  • Soap Making Workshop – Craft 6 bars of soap at Lizzie’s All Natural Products! 2 PM
  • WinMock Sip & See – Meet wedding vendors and sample signature cocktails and appetizers at WinMock at Kinderton. 9 AM – 12 PM

 

Sunday, January 19

  • Cocktail Class – Join Easytalk at the bar to learn how they make the perfect espresso martini. 4 PM
  • Adoption Event – Meet adoptable dogs and puppies from The Haley Graves Foundation NC at Tucker’s Tap Yard! 1-4 PM
  • MLK Service – Celebrate Dr. King’s legacy through song and spoken word in a multicultural and intergenerational service at Mount Tabor United Methodist Church. 4 PM
  • Bridal Show – Tour Legacy Stables & Events’ multiple venues and meet wedding vendors!12-3 PM

 

Monday, January 20 (MLK Day)

  • Magnolia Shoebox Lunch N Learn – Learn how Black travelers in the Jim Crow era would eat when there wasn’t a safe place to stop in this VR experience at Union Station. Sessions available from 9 AM – 2 PM
  • MLK Prayer Breakfast – Join the Winston-Salem Chronicle for breakfast and prayer at the Benton Convention Center. 7:30 AM
  • MLK Birthday Celebration – NC Black Rep brings performing arts talent from across the Triad to Hanesbrand Theatre! Admission is free with three non-perishable food donations. 7 PM
  • Tonality Concert – Tonality, a vocal ensemble, will perform “America Will Be” at Wait Chapel. The ensemble will be joined by the WSSU Singing Rams, the WFU Chamber Choir, and a string quintet from WFU’s Symphony Orchestra. 7:30 PM
  • Skate DaysSchool’s out! Take your kids ice skating at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds Arena. 11 AM – 1:30 PM, 2:30-5 PM
