Thursday, December 4

  • Fried Chicken Dinner – Enjoy a three-course meal paired with a glass of champagne at Salem Bottleworks. RSVP required. Seatings from 6-7 PM.
  • Crochet Craft Night – Learn to crochet a snowflake at The Porch! RSVP required. Proceeds benefit D.O.S.E., a creative safe space. 6:30 PM
  • Christmas Candlelight Service – Join Salem Academy and College for an inspiring message, choral music, and the lighting of traditional Moravian candles. 4:15 PM

 

Friday, December 5

  • Christmas Wrapped in Brass – Listen to the North Carolina Brass Band perform your holiday favorites at Guilford College! 7:30 PM
  • The Nutcracker – Watch UNCSA students bring this classic ballet to life at the Steven Tanger Center! Runs through Sunday.
  • A Motown Christmas – Enjoy a night of Christmas carols and Motown music from NC Black Rep at Hanesbrands Theatre! Runs through December 21.
  • Tuba Christmas – Listen to dozens of tuba players perform Christmas carols at First Presbyterian Church. Free to attend. 6:30 PM
  • Theatre Show – Theatre Alliance presents its production of “Holiday Inn,” a musical based on the 1942 movie. Runs through December 21.
  • Tree Lighting – Get ready for caroling, hot chocolate, and a visit from Santa at Lewisville’s tree lighting ceremony in Shallowford Square. 7 PM
  • Murder Mystery – Wear your ugliest holiday sweater and help solve a murder at Old Homeplace Vineyard! 7:30 PM
  • Cooking Class – Learn to make the perfect soup and sandwich in this hands-on class at Southern Home & Kitchen! 12 PM
  • Caroling Fridays – Sing along to holiday music played on the Reynolda House’s organ! 2:30 PM
  • Improv ShowReady for holiday hilarity? The Foolish Mortals improv comedy troupe performs at Camel City Playhouse! 7:30 PM
  • Festive Family Friday – Bring the family to Kaleideum for photos with Santa, reindeer food making, a puppet show, and much more! 2-8 PM
  • Board Game Extravaganza – Play board games, compete in trivia, and participate in a white elephant gift exchange at RE3 Church! Runs through Saturday.
  • Paint Your Pet – Paint a portrait of your beloved pet at the AARF House! Proceeds benefit AARF. 6 PM

 

Saturday, December 6

  • Christmas Wrapped in Brass – Ring in the season with the North Carolina Brass Band! Listen to your holiday favorites at Wake Forest University. 7:30 PM
  • Mistletoe Run – Run, cheer on racers, and enjoy family-friendly fun including a post-race party, bounce houses, and more! First race starts at 7:30 AM.
  • Christmas at Bethabara – Explore decorated historic homes, listen to holiday music, interact with 18th-century craftsmen, and make your own holiday craft! Free to attend. 1:30-4:30 PM
  • Christmas Play – Take the whole family to see “Twas the Night Before Christmas” at Theatre Alliance! Runs through December 20.
  • Holiday Parade – Watch festive floats and marching bands parade down Fourth Street, followed by a tree lighting ceremony at Corpening Plaza. 5 PM
  • Victorian Christmas – Listen to a classic Christmas tale, make cookie ornaments, and help decorate the parlor at the Historic Nissen House! RSVP required; time slots from 11 AM – 1 PM.
  • Shine-A-Light on Hunger – Join Sunnyside Ministries for free horse-drawn carriage rides, hot cocoa, and more! Attendees are asked to donate nonperishable food and household items. 5-7
  • Wrap, Snap, & Give Back – Have your gifts wrapped by the Postpartum Resource Center of the Triad and take a photo with Santa at Cafe Lilly! Donations are encouraged. 10 AM – 12 PM
  • Christmas at Childress – Take photos with Santa, listen to live holiday music, and enjoy drink specials at Childress Vineyards! Runs through Sunday.
  • Winston Vintage Market – Find vintage clothing and accessories from 20+ vendors at ALV’s parking lot! 11 AM – 5
  • Blooms to Bells – Ride a trolley through downtown Kernersville, go ice skating, watch the tree lighting, and more! 4-8 PM
  • Holiday Markets
    • Holly Jolly Market – Shop from artists, makers, and small businesses set up in Hanes Mall’s common areas. Also available Sunday.
    • Of This Place Winter Market – Find unique items at Winston-Salem Wellness Collective. 12-4 PM
    • Sayso Winter Market – Discover great holiday gifts at Sayso’s annual market (held in their parking lot on S Liberty Street). 9 AM – 2 PM
    • Sawtooth Holiday Market – Browse artwork, participate in hands-on artmaking activities, and watch craft demonstrations at the Milton Rhodes Center. 11 AM – 4 PM

 

Sunday, December 7

  • Ardmore Home Tour – Explore eight homes in one of Winston-Salem’s most beloved historic neighborhoods. 1-5 PM
  • Trade Street Farmers Market – Browse 20+ local vendors offering fresh produce, baked goods, food, and drinks on Trade Street. 10 AM – 2 PM
  • Books & Brews – Our local bookstores will be popping up at Fiddin’ Fish! Discover your next favorite read and participate in a book swap. 12-5 PM
  • Pop Up Choir – Sing Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” with the One Love One Voice Pop Up Choir at Winston-Salem Wellness Collective. 1 PM
  • Gin Tasting – Taste Hackney Distillery’s lineup of gins at easytalk! 4 PM
  • Pickleball – Hit the courts with the Average Joe Pickleball League at Little Creek Park, followed by socializing at Foothills Tasting Room! 12 PM
  • Handel’s Messiah – Listen to the 90th annual performance of Handel’s “Messiah” at R. J. Reynolds High School. Free to attend. 3 PM
  • Kernersville Christmas Parade – Watch marching bands, festive floats, and more parade through Kernersville! Route starts at the corner of Pineview Drive and Highway 66. 2:30 PM
  • Wake Forest Lovefeast – Attend one of the university’s most beloved traditions! Sing hyms and enjoy Moravian coffee and sweet buns at Wait Chapel. Doors open at 6 PM; service begins at 7 PM.
  • Art Workshop – Bring your kids to Reynolda to create wintry evergreen designs using a printing press! 2 PM
  • Howliday Party – Bring your furry friend to Tucker’s Tap Yard for photos with Santa! Note: You must be a member of Tucker’s Tap Yard to reserve a time slot. 4-7 PM
  • Handmade Holiday Market – Get ahead of your holiday shopping at Foothills Tasting Room! 12-5  PM
  • Christmas in the Coalpit – Shop from over 30 vendors and take pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus at Incendiary Brewing! 12-4 PM
