Thursday, August 1

• International Black Theatre Festival – Festivities all week and weekend long including midnight poetry jams, vendor markets, workshops, and dozens of theatrical performances! Events take place at various locations.
• Free Yoga – Stretch out with Lotus Yoga at Bailey Park. Don’t forget to bring your mat! 6 PM
• Vendor Market – The Winston-Salem Urban League hosts a four-day vendor marketplace featuring goods such as health & beauty products, African attire, jewelry, and more. Runs through Saturday.
• Trivia Night – Test your knowledge at Tucker’s Tap Yard for prizes, giveaways, and the chance to win tickets to the 2024 Winston-Salem Open! 7 PM
• Bots on Tap – Build a robot at Radar Brewing Company! This event is open to all skill levels. 5:30 PM
• Block Party – The International Black Theatre Festival’s Old School Block Party! Listen to live music and grab a bite from local food trucks at Corpening Plaza. Runs through Saturday.
• Finance Workshop – Greater Winston-Salem Inc. presents Business Finance Basics, a workshop for minority and women business owners. 11:30 AM
• Midnight Poetry Jam – The International Black Theatre Festival presents featured poets and celebrity guests at The Benton Convention Center. Additional performance on Friday.
• Curator Tour – View and learn about the works of photographer and mixed-media artist David Gilbert at SECCA. 6 PM
• Youth Talent Showcase – Youth from across the US showcase their unique talents for a panel of celebrity judges at The Benton Convention Center. Part of the International Black Theatre Festival. Additional performance on Friday.
• Painting Party – Join Wine & Design to paint your own tote bag while playing Taylor Swift trivia! Event also available on Friday.
• Baseball – Watch the Dash play against the Greensboro Grasshoppers at Truist Stadium! There are games every day through Sunday, including theme nights like Super Splash Day, Bolt’s Summer Games, and Disc Golf Night.

Friday, August 2

• TeenTastic – Teenagers ages 13-17 are invited to the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds to enjoy a fashion show, carnival, and performances from Timothy Fletcher of America’s Got Talent! Part of the International Black Theatre Festival. Runs through Saturday.
• Laser Shows – Experience a laser show set to the music of Taylor Swift or Bruno Mars at Kaleideum. Taylor Swift show starts at 8:45 PM, Bruno Mars show starts at 10 PM.
• First Friday – Browse a vendor market, jam out to live music, and explore local artist Holly Evans’ work at Wise Man Brewing. 5-8 PM
• Comedy Night – In need of a laugh? Beer Run Comedy performs a free show at Wise Man Brewing! 9 PM
• Kids Night Out – Drop off the kids at Kaleideum for a night of museum exploration, crafts, activities, and pizza + snacks. For children grades K-6. 5:30-8:30 PM

Saturday, August 3

• Mad Hare Party – Enjoy an Alice in Wonderland themed tea party at Fairytale Adoption Shop, with Alice herself leading storytime! Sessions at 12 PM, 1:30 PM, and 3 PM.
• Chicago Tribute – Pull up a lawn chair and listen to Chicago Rewired at Shallowford Square. Concessions available. 7-9 PM
• Family Day – Head to Foothills Tasting Room for a day of family activities, including yoga! Ronald McDonald House will be accepting items from its wish list! 11 AM – 2 PM
• Common Hymnal – A group of artists perform music centered around life, justice, and underground spirituality at Wait Chapel. This event is part of the International Black Theatre Festival and is free to attend. 5:30 PM
• Adoption Event – Meet adoptable dogs from Ruff Love Rescue at 5598 Leonard Farm Rd in Kernersville. The rescue will be accepting donations at the event! 10 AM – 2 PM
• Water Balloon Barrage – Cool off with your kids at a water balloon battle at Softgolf, located in Tanglewood Park. 10 AM – 12 PM
• Outdoor Concert – Listen to Chris Taylor & The Rumor and Smoke and Mirrors perform at Davie County Community Park! 7 PM

Sunday, August 4

• Back to School Bash – Join Triad Moms on Main for activities and vendors at the Ciener Botanical Gardens! The first 100 families receive goodie bags. 12:30-3:30 PM
• Cocktail Class – Date idea! Learn how to craft a great spritz together at Easytalk. Tickets include 2 full-sized cocktails, a cocktail guide, and bar snacks. 2 PM
• Free Ride – Join CycleBar for free community rides! Ride to the rhythm of today’s and yesterday’s chart-toppers and meet fellow fitness enthusiasts. Classes at 9:15 AM, 10:30 AM, and 4 PM.
