Monday, May 27 is Memorial Day. Honor those who lost their lives while serving our country at the 10th annual Memorial Day Ceremony at the Carolina Field of Honor in Triad Park.
What to Expect
The Memorial Day Ceremony at the Carolina Field of Honor will feature a color guard, the Navy Band, special music, wreath laying, the playing of Taps, and more. Former Governor Pat McCrory will speak at the event.
Preliminary music played by the Navy Band begins at 10:40 AM, and the formal ceremony begins at 11 AM.
History
The Carolina Field of Honor opened in 2014 after being constructed by the War Memorial Foundation Board. It is the largest memorial honoring veterans on the East Coast outside of Washington D.C.
