Book Ferret is a locally owned store that opened in Summer 2023. As a new and used bookstore, they sell the latest releases, gently used books, games, puzzles, book-themed art, and other book-related goods.

The Bookhouse

Located in Reynolda Village, The Bookhouse is an adorable bookstore offering a wide variety of new books. Hang out on their comfy couches to read and discuss your favorite books with fellow book lovers.
PRO TIP: Grab a drink to sip as you read! In addition to the books, The Bookhouse also has coffee, tea, beer, and wine.

A literary arts nonprofit, Bookmarks strives to connect all people with books. They opened a bookstore in 2017 complete with a stage, conference rooms, community gathering spaces, and mobile bookshelves stocked with books in all genres.

The Eclectible Shop

If you love getting lost in a maze of shelves filled with old books, The Eclectible Shop is the place for you. Among its tight corridors, you’ll find rare used books, vintage vinyl, old magazines, and plenty of “effimera & eclectibilia.”
FUN FACT: The Eclectible Shop opened in 1999 as an antiques-based business!
McKay’s

McKay’s is a huge used bookstore with five locations across North Carolina and Tennessee. Their giant warehouse holds rows of used books in all genres, music, movies, records, electronics, games, collectibles, and more.
