What is Camel City Supper Club?
Camel City Supper Club is a monthly potluck dinner held on the first Sunday at rotating spots around town. Each month brings a fresh theme, like Taste of Home or Build Your Own Bowl, to keep things fun and flavorful.

The Background
At the heart of Camel City Supper Club is its founder, Sarah. When she moved from Asheville to Winston-Salem in 2020, she started making friends through bartending at Fiddlin’ Fish.
But while she was meeting lots of great people, her friends didn’t know each other. So she came up with a simple idea: bring everyone together around the table. That idea became Camel City Supper Club.
“I wanted to create a community that had a very natural way of meeting other people who were like-minded, from different walks of life—people that you wouldn’t typically be in the same room as.”
- The Start: Sarah organized the first Camel City Supper Club event at Fiddlin’ Fish in January 2025. The event was a hit—over 30 people attended!
The Impact
Eight months in, Camel City Supper Club has become a go-to tradition for bringing people together.
Tony, a regular, moved to Winston-Salem last year without knowing anyone except his fiancé. One supper club later, the couple was hooked.
- “I made new friends that I’ve hung out with outside of Camel City Supper Club,” Tony said. “My phone keeps filling up with people.”
Christy, a Winston-Salem native, has been coming since day one.
- “It’s been nice—I got to come out of my shell,” Christy said. “I’ve made friends through Camel City Supper Club. I know about their lives; they’re not just surface-level relationships.”
That’s exactly what founder Sarah hoped for. “I love seeing those connections made; it means the world to me.”
