Old Homeplace Vineyard

HOURS | Saturday & Sunday, 12-5 PM

ADDRESS | 623 McGee Rd, Winston-Salem (25 minutes away)

ABOUT | Once a tobacco farm, this lakefront tasting room and vineyard is a beautiful spot to relax while enjoying a glass of wine. They have wine tastings and live music. Don’t forget to bring your own lawn chair! 

Old Homeplace Vineyard

Childress Vineyards

HOURS | Tasting Room & Gift Shop open daily from 10 AM – 5 PM; Bistro serves lunch daily from 10 AM – 4 PM

ADDRESS | 1000 Childress Vineyards Rd, Lexington (25 minutes away)

ABOUT | Opened by NASCAR team owner Richard Childress in 2004, Childress Vineyards sits on 70 beautiful acres of land. Enjoy their weekend music series from May through October, plus other special events. 

 

Weathervane Winery

HOURS | Tuesday – Saturday, 11 AM – 5 PM; Sunday, 1-5 PM

ADDRESS | 1452 Welcome Arcadia Rd, Lexington (20 minutes away)

ABOUT | Weathervane has 17 great wines and a gift shop. Nothing is mass-produced: there are no filtering or huge storage tanks for aging. Everything is done by hand, ensuring each bottle has the best taste. They have wine tastings, events, and Winery cottages that are available for booking.

 

Native Vines Winery

HOURS | Tuesday – Friday, 11 AM – 5 PM; Saturday, 11 AM – 6 PM; Sunday, 1-5 PM

ADDRESS | 1336 NC-150, Lexington (25 minutes away)

ABOUT | Native Vines Winery is the first Native American-owned winery in the country! They have been producing completely natural, seasonal fruit wines since 1998, with a focus on apple and blackberry. Music on the lawn is offered on specific dates throughout the summer. Wine tastings are available. 

 

Mocksville & Lewisville

 

Medaloni Cellars

HOURS | Wednesday – Thursday, 2-8 PM; Friday, 12-8 PM; Saturday, 11 AM – 6 PM; Sunday, 12-6 PM

ADDRESS | 9125 Shallowford Rd, Lewisville (20 minutes away)

ABOUT | Medaloni Cellars sits on 22 acres and has a beautiful outdoor space, a cozy indoor seating area, and cabins available for booking. Food trucks are on-site each weekend from March to November. Wine tasting and wine flights are available.

 

Rayson Winery and Vineyards

HOURS | Wednesday, 11 AM – 7 PM; Thursday – Saturday, 11 AM – 9 PM; Sunday, 11 AM – 8 PM

ADDRESS | 322 Brix Lane, Mocksville (25 minutes away)

ABOUT | Rayson Winery was formerly RayLen Vineyards before a change in ownership in November 2023. Rayson has wine tastings and a full-service restaurant, Bistro Europa. The winery has a beautiful outdoor seating area and a covered picnic area.

 

Yadkin Valley

 

Hanover Park Vineyard

HOURS | Friday – Sunday, 12-7 PM 

ADDRESS | 1927 Courtney-Huntsville Rd, Yadkinville (30 minutes away)

ABOUT | Hanover Park Vineyard offers wine flights; snacks are available for purchase, or you can bring your own. You can host your special event in one of their two beautiful spaces.

 

Brandon Hills Vineyard

HOURS | March – December: Saturday, 12-6 PM and Sunday, 1-5 PM | January: Closed | February: Saturday & Sunday, 1-5 PM

ADDRESS | 1927 Brandon Hills Rd, Yadkinville (35 minutes away)

ABOUT | Brandon Hills Vineyard is nestled in the Yadkin Valley with beautiful views. There is plenty of seating outside and limited seating inside. Bonus: Pet-friendly!

 

Sanders Ridge Winery

HOURS | Daily, 12-5 PM

ADDRESS | 3200 Round Hill Rd, Boonville (35 minutes away)

ABOUT | Sanders Ridge is a 179-year-old family farm in the heart of the Yadkin Valley! They often have live music, so be sure to check their website to stay up to date. No outside coolers or food are allowed.

 

East Bend

 

Cellar 4201

HOURS | Saturday & Sunday, 12-5 PM (except for Sundays in January, when they are closed)

ADDRESS | 4201 Apperson Rd, East Bend (35 minutes away)

ABOUT | Located in East Bend, Cellar 4201 has 5 acres of premium grapes. They are a boutique-style, family-owned vineyard that specializes in Sangiovese, their signature wine.

 

Divine Llama Vineyards

HOURS | Thursday – Saturday, 12-6 PM; Sunday, 1-6 PM

ADDRESS | 4126 Divine Llama Lane, East Bend (30 minutes away)

ABOUT | Divine Llama is a fabulous place for an outing. As the name implies, they have llamas on-site and are the largest llama farm in the Southeast. You can participate in llama trekking tours and wine tastings, and the vineyard often has food trucks on-site. There is a $10 per person admission for only visiting the llama farm.

 

Flint Hill Vineyards

HOURS | Only open for special events as of October 2024

ADDRESS | 2133 Flint Hill Rd, East Bend (25 minutes away)

ABOUT | Flint Hill Vineyards opened in October of 2005, located on land that has been in the family for over 100 years. Enjoy a bottle of one of their eight wines and take a tour of the vineyard.

 

Pilot Mountain Area

 

JOLO Winery and Vineyards

HOURS | Thursday – Sunday, 11 AM – 8 PM

ADDRESS | 219 JOLO Winery Lane, Pilot Mountain (30 minutes away)

ABOUT | This winery showcases the natural beauty of the 80-acre property, which includes breathtaking views of Pilot Mountain. Enjoy a bite at the tapas restaurant!
