With the push for sustainable, affordable, unique, and vintage fashion, “thrifting” has grown from simply trying to land a good deal to an in-demand shopping experience. Local thrift stores range from national, household names (like Goodwill or Uptown Cheapskates) to niche, second-hand businesses and vintage enthusiasts (like the longtime locally owned Snob Shop). They often provide a perfect solution for the broke college kid, trendy young professional, resourceful parent, or the uniquely-styled Winstonian.Â
Don’t have time to try them all out and see for yourself?! Well, when the itch to thrift hits, we’ve got you covered with the “must-see” thrift shop and consignment gems of Winston-Salem. Read below for the best spots in town.
