Mom League

A community that educates, connects, and supports new moms so they can thrive during the 4th trimester and beyond.

What they offer: An 8-week series for moms and babies 0-3 months postpartum (Newborn Series). Mom League also hosts Playgroups for grownups and their infants (3-12 months) and toddlers (12-36 months) that last for 8 weeks.

Cost: Newborn series is $329 and each Playgroups series is $200

Who: Annie and Kelly, the founders of Mom League, became new mothers after relocating to Winston-Salem amidst the pandemic. Recognizing the need for a supportive community, they established Mom League to aid fellow moms. Today, the team has grown to include instructors and local community experts.

FIT4MOM

A fitness program that provides moms with a community of support through all stages of motherhood.

What they offer: Daily stroller workouts, moms-only classes, free weekly playgroups, moms’ night out, field trips, and family days.

Cost: Several options, including monthly memberships and class passes. Follow them on social media for free pop-up classes.

Who: The Piedmont franchise is locally owned by Christine. After attending one class in August 2022, she knew she had to get involved with Fit4Mom somehow. She fell in love with the community, the workouts, and the extra quality time with her daughter. That same week, the previous owner announced that the Piedmont franchise was up for sale. Just a few months later, Christine became the new owner. Building a community of health, wellness, and support for moms in the Triad has been one of her most rewarding life experiences.

Her Meetups

Meetups that foster connections, support local businesses and build a welcoming community for newcomers and mothers navigating parenthood.

What they offer: Free weekly meetups at coffee shops and monthly events – from wine nights to charity events and more – designed for moms in their 20s-40s in all stages of motherhood.

Cost: There is no cost to join, just show up!

Who: Shawntelle, the owner, established Her Meetups in 2023 after relocating to North Carolina from California with her husband. Frustrated by the challenges of making friends as a new mom, she began hosting meetups at local businesses. Since 2023, these meetups have attracted several hundred mothers who have attended over 100 events.

Well Natured Walks

A group that provides free nature walks every week for moms and their kids.

What they offer: Stroller-friendly walks, baby-friendly walks, and kid-friendly walks.

Cost: No cost, just DM the Instagram page for the trail location!

Who: DeLaney, the founder, had her first son in 2022 and struggled with postpartum anxiety and depression. She found that spending time outside in nature helped her during these challenges and realized other moms could also benefit from the experience. She started inviting other women along and created the Instagram page in 2023.
