Joyner’s Bar

In addition to the drinks, patrons love the vibes here– from their mix of woods, exposed brick, large leather booths, walls of vintage books, eclectic art, and ’70s room in the back (that can be reserved). You will experience warmth and old-school charm here. They also have an upstairs with more seating and a separate bar.
Pro-Tip: We recommend the Gin Ricky, Blood and Bourbon, and Bees Knees.
Vintage Sofa Bar
ADDRESS | 1001 Burke Street
Head to Vintage Sofa Bar for a cozy inside full of various… You guessed it… sofas. They also have outdoor seating and a fire pit that is open to the inside through large garage doors. Some cocktail favorites include the Raspberry Bramble, Spicy Margarita, and Amaretto Sour.
Bonus: They also have an extensive craft beer list and an impressive selection of small plates.

Fair Witness
ADDRESS | 290 4th Street East
Right in Bailey Park, Fair Witness is a favorite among cocktail lovers. They have a great (but small) outside space as well as indoor seating. Patrons love their beautiful, creative cocktails, and Fair Witness gets high praise for its friendly staff, creative decor, and fair prices. We highly recommend the Makgeoli Fizz.
Pro-Tip: Keep an eye on their social media for live music events; most have a cover charge!
Easytalk
ADDRESS | 905 S Broad St, Suite 105
Easytalk offers a cocktail experience like no other. There are two ordering concepts: easy and talk. If you choose “easy,” you’ll order from a short, pre-selected menu of craft coffees and cocktails. However, if you choose “talk,” you’ll have a one-on-one conversation with the bartender, who will then make you a custom drink based on your current mood.
Bonus: Check out one of their Sunday School classes, where you’ll create your own specialty cocktail.
Theodore’s Bar & Market

You can expect top-quality cocktails, food, and local goods at Theodore’s. Enjoy a cozy, bright, and intimate atmosphere, much like their sister restaurant, Dough Joes. Enjoy a glass of wine, a cocktail, or a beer inside or on their patio.
Pro-Tip: You can’t go wrong with the Lavender Bees Knees and whatever is on their seasonal menu.

Breathe Cocktail Lounge

Breathe Cocktail Lounge features cocktails, draughts, bottled beers, small plates, and live music. The atmosphere is bright, elegant, and cozy! We recommend the Petal Pusher, Rose Blush, and Eat Peach drinks.
Bonus: They also have a whiskey bar & lounge and regularly host live music, DJs and other events.
Footnote Coffee and Cocktails

Coffee shop by day, and signature cocktails, wine, and craft beer by night! Footnote is a cozy place with twinkle lights, local art, and comfy seats. Try Irish Caribbean cold brew and the Ole Razzle Dazzle.
Bonus: Their espresso martini flight (made with their own beans!) is a must-try for coffee lovers.
The Trophy Room

The Trophy Room is an elevated whiskey experience that feels like you’re stepping into a speakeasy. They have everything from straight pours to whiskey flights to craft cocktails.
Pro-Tip: Try their Smoked Old Fashioned—they literally smoke it right in front of you!
The Katharine Brasserie & Bar
ADDRESS | 401 N Main St (Inside the Kimpton Cardinal Hotel)
The Katharine is a fantastic spot to grab a meal, but you can also just stop in and grab a cocktail. We recommend sitting on their patio or at the bar and ordering The Felicity or Hair Toss (Check My Nails) and an appetizer.

Bar NOLA

A New Orleans-themed bar in West End offers specialty cocktails, wine, and beer. Some of their specialty cocktails include Swamp Water and The Hurricane. Bar NOLA has games, a dartboard, and plenty of seating inside its beautiful bar.

The Dutch Light

The Dutch Light is a modern, sophisticated cocktail lounge in downtown Winston-Salem with a great upstairs patio. Their cocktails are inspired by the freshness of a greenhouse and are designed to be bright, bold, and delicious.

Single Brothers

With a small and dim interior, this place is exactly what many are looking for in a comfortable neighborhood bar. They earn consistently high marks for their well-balanced cocktails, no-fuss interior, and knowledgeable bartenders.

Bamboo Lounge

Bamboo Lounge is a tiki bar serving craft, tropical, and classic cocktails amidst fun decorations, Reggae music, and a relaxed vibe. Best known for their rum and tropical-themed cocktails like the yellow bird, rum punch, dark daiquiri, and pain killer.
