Explore the outdoors with your kids in Winston-Salem! From zoos to gardens to parks, there are plenty of ways to keep your kids entertained while soaking up the sun.

North Carolina Zoo – Spend the day exploring the various exhibits.
Triad Eco Adventures – Take paddleboard lessons, go on an e-bike or segway tour, and more!
Tennis Lessons – A great way for kids to learn and exercise at the Joe White Tennis Center.
Local Parks – Winston-Salem has many great parks for your kids to play at.
Reynolda Gardens and Ciener Botanical Garden – Aside from the fun kids can have exploring these beautiful gardens, both have programs like storytime and learning sessions.
Gateway Nature Preserve – The nature preserve has events for families to take in the great outdoors.
Fairytale Farm Animal Sanctuary and Red Feather Sanctuary – Volunteers are always welcome at these sanctuaries! Perfect for kids with a big heart for animals.
Alpha and Omega and Red Hound Farm – Experience a real-life farm and meet the adorable farm animals.

Trampoline Parks

The Canvas Cake Studio – Offers cake decorating classes
Family First Workshops at Reynolda – Workshops are scheduled on the first Sunday of every month from 2-4 PM
Second Saturday at SECCA – Free, family-oriented art day on the second Saturday of the month from 10 AM – 1 PM
